PRAYER THE FUEL FOR OUR SOUL.
Prayers is our earnest request to the divine for something we need, a wish or a hope that we send out as message. Prayer is something we have known from the very existence of ours, prayers are said for various reasons and season in various ways. Each situation and issue gets a prayer to help us through it.
It makes me wonder what exactly is Prayer?
Are we negotiating with the supreme energies or seeking something from the energies like grace or blessings. The list can go on, without having a right answer for this. As each person have their own perception towards prayers, here I would say there is nothing right or wrong.
It’s each ones belief and their connection to the divine, depends on how they wish to take it forward. Maybe some like it be a formal prayer while some prefer it be casual or simple ones with no frills to it.
I personally liked it simple, now as I walk the path of shamanism have converted into more ritualistic where I do small ritual with every prayer. Some of my students are witness to these prayer rituals which is a wonderful and powerful tool for the soul.
Be it from any walks of life each and everyone have their own belief and methodology of praying. It’s our own way to connect to the divine we believe in and seeking help or guidance. Every style of prayer should be accepted and respected and not mocked about.
Many a times we pray not knowing why we are doing it, the reason is simple it’s fuel for the soul. To start a prayer we bring our hands into a prayer pose, it may weary for each person as in depending on their beliefs and styles of praying.
When we bring our hands in a prayer position near our heart, it helps one to connect directly to their soul and bring oneself in alignment with the universe. That’s how we begin our prayers, be it reciting sacred texts or words or just praying a simple one line text. Another important point here is with our hands in prayer position we also connect to the divine spark within our heart, and from their we connect to the supreme energy or universal consciousness.
The intentions in the prayers are very important and helps our prayers to become more powerful. When we use sacred words, texts or mantras we bring about the required protection or protective shield around one self which helps us to move forward.
Prayers can be said in various forms, ways and time. Let’s look at some of the times we can actually be totally unaware of the fact that we can actually be praying.
As we wake up in the morning saying a quick gratitude prayer, incase no then now is the time we can / should make it a practice to say a simple prayer before actually getting out of bed.
A prayer of gratitude
A prayer of forgiveness
Ho’ponopono
Anything that would hardly take about a minute or two.
Before starting our day we could pray for guidance, blessings or protection against inevitable hurdles.
Prayer before having a meal, being grateful for each meal we eat asking the food to bring in the required nutrition into your body.
Prayer before stepping out for work. Seeking safety, smooth journey
Prayer before going into bed having gratitude for every small happy moment which you have had.
As you see there is no time and place prayers can be said as we go about our routine and through our work. Through the process of praying we automatically start to align ourselves especially when in a tough spot. Some of the prayers happen subconsciously many a times we are unaware of it. While at times we do bring ourselves to being aware of the number of prayers we say.
During a day we may at any given time say a minimum of 10 to 25 prayers subconsciously.
For eg:-
>Have a good day
>Happy Sade flight
>Happy journey
>Stay safe
>Please let this meeting go well
>Have an easy interview
Thank you
God bless
Some casual one of what we say but our prayers for someone’s well being.
>I pray that my papers are cleared
>I pray for peace of mind
>I pray for money to flow easily
>May my job interview go smooth
>Praying for my reports to be normal
>I pray there is no traffic
So on we keep on praying…
Keeping in mind that our thoughts our powerful tools, when we pray our intentions of the prayer is sent out to the universe which is reciprocated with bringing what we pray for.
Prayers are hence a powerful tool and fuel for our soul especially when we use It for highest good. When are in sync with our soul and listen to what it needs helps us not only for praying but also helping it reach out to the universe.
There is abundance in the universe, it’s our own thoughts and beliefs that come in the way of things happening. When we set intentions and are persistent in our path being dedicated we see things unfolding. All prayers may not get instant results but when we pray periodically we bring about an energy shift within our space.
Prayers of Gratitude, Forgiveness, Acceptance bring about a subtle change within your energy field which can be felt over a period of time. This being an important point, I connect it to the point of Prayers the fuel to the soul.
Prayers need to be said from your heart and with love and gratitude. Prayers said for the heck of being said has no value or effect. It’s as simple as eating a meal which has no nutrients benefit for the body. When the prayer is said from the heart, it holds a lot of meaning and purpose bringing the required energies your way.
Prayers said out of fear or obligations might as well not pray as it is going to attract that fear in your life which is holding a dominant seat. Prayers when said with love, brings about a higher level of confidence and some kind of inner peace and calm even when everything is going wrong.
Pray from your heart, with love and gratitude and open yourself for the abundance of blessings that comes your way.
Prayer is a simple and easiest way for one to align themselves to the universe and fall into synchronization.
Prayers only get answered when we pray with trust and know that it will happen for your best.
