Goddess Kushmanda
Om Devi Kushmanda Namah॥
Chaturthi or the fourth day of Navratri is of Devi Kushmanda. The name Kushmanda is derived from three words – ‘Ku’ (little), ‘Ushma’ (warmth or energy), and ‘Amnda’ (egg), which means the creator of the universe. Deity Kushmanda possesses the power to live inside the blazing sun, hence the name Kushmanda. Having a luminous body as that of the sun, she is credited to create a world with her divine and radiant smile. The Navratri importance of this Goddess is that she bestows her worshippers with good wellbeing, strength, and strength. She is represented with eight hands, therefore known by the name of Ashtabhuja Devi. Her form is pictured with eight to ten hands holding a trident, discus, sword, hook, mace, bow, arrow, two jars of honey, and blood. Her one hand is always in the Abhaya mudra form she blesses all her followers. She rides on a tiger.
Through awakening this energy within us, we can activate our light body and bring about a radiant glow onto our face. The tiger can be depicted as to awaken the inner strength and courage and ride our waves of life without any hesitation. You can do this with determination and will which each of us hold but refuse to use it at times. Through the flow of energy that awakens our light body, we can have good health and also attract wealth into our lives. The beautiful smile of the goddess can be radiated within our hearts and reach it out to our homes and spaces to bring in some divine grace and blessings. As we journey into our paths we can also shine this light for those seeking the path of light. The weapons can be depicted as the umpteen tools we hold within our space which would help us clear our path to the inner-awakening and ride the wave towards uniting with Supreme Consciousness. On this is auspicious day let us awaken this divine light within us and also bring about the required skills forward.
