Lack of Confidence
It’s easy to break or create a mess with no rightful intentions. Confidence is much needed for us to move ahead in life be it in any field or area. On our journey of life, each one has gone through their fair share of problems or issues about confidence issues.
Some major factors that play a vital role in getting a person to the point of having low self-confidence are:-
- Your childhood
- Culture
- Society
- Peer pressure
- Genes
- Work colleagues
- Friends
- Past traumas
- Repeated Failures
The past cannot be undone, but the future can be reset and worked on. Wherein self-confidence becomes the first important pointer in the list. There is no way to help self, other than starting on working on self as soon as you realize the lacks and lag in your life which is leading towards chaos.
Lacking confidence can break a person down to bits and pieces as everything revolves around the level of confidence. How do we know if we are in a state of lacking confidence?
- Difficulty in speaking up and expressing oneself with open and clear communication.
- Finding it difficult to prioritize self and not able to work towards self needs and desires.
- Riding the wave of guilt for everyday mishaps and going on saying I am sorry even when not at fault.
- Finding it difficult to make their own choices.
- Committing to anything is always difficult.
- All boundaries collapsed or weak.
- Negative self-perception and being a critic on self for every small block.
- Trying to go overboard to please others and get their approval.
No matter what the reason is which has made you/ us to lack confidence that is not to be the concern or should not be given the spotlight. Whereas focusing on how to deal with the problem will help oneself to build on the self-confidence.
There is no need to shy away or try to hide the fact that you need help or need to work on your confidence level. No one is perfect and trying to please a world that equally has it’s own flaws and failures. The best way to address and move forward would be to accept yourself for the flaws and what happens to be weakness can be transformed into inner strength gradually.
Some simple steps when trying to work oneself:
- Using affirmations helps one to work on building confidence levels. Seek experts ( healers) guidance on the same.
- Visualize yourself as who you want to be and work towards it.
- Don’t be harsh or a critic of self
- Work on stepping out of your comfort zone.
- Question your acts and procrastination as to why are you unable to move ahead.
- Set small goals and work towards achieving them.
- Set a time frame to help you achieve your goals.
- Stop comparing yourself to others.
- Work on self-esteem and respect too.
- Embrace or accept yourself as you are.
- Be mindful of grooming yourself well.
- Work in having an optimistic approach.
- Be generous with yourself as well as people you love and care for.
- Work on communication skills.
- Practice the art of gratitude.
Confidence should be a beautiful jewel that’s adorned every day to make you feel self-worthy.
