THE TRUTH IS ALWAYS BITTER
Of course, truth is always bitter, this is one of the reasons many of us choose to live a life in denial or prefer to act like we are oblivious to what’s happening around us. This is one of the foundations for breaking relations and also bringing major concerns into our lives.
Reasons being we are never prepared to hear the truth and when we do hear the truth we are unable to deal with the actual facts and again we have a whole process of going through our own rigmarole of conflicts and emotional upheavals.
So now one may wonder, I am open to accepting and hearing the facts. Please do put it on the table and I am willing to see this and also face whatever it is. As the truth is placed the natural thing to feel is the world is falling over you or the ground under your feet is being pulled away.
Why do we allow ourselves to be in a situation like this?
This is cause our relationships are built on trust and love and there is a belief that everything will be okay and you will never be lied to. This could be one of the core belief and this can take you through a crazy roller coaster ride. Another important point is the promises which are made and we unable to deal with it.
Now I am sure you may want to ask what’s wrong with the belief?
There is nothing wrong with one’s belief but the repercussions when we hold onto certain beliefs can be difficult for us to withstand which can bring about major stress and anxiety issues. These beliefs can act as trigger points and also the points of having to lose faith in certain beliefs as it’s been shattered or been shaken.
Once we can actually understand the importance of our beliefs which can make it difficult for us to accept the truth. One can be in a better position to face the pain and also know how to move forward. Now when I say move forward I don’t mean by suppressing it. One needs to address it and see the facts and know the truth.
No matter how bitter the truth is, truth is truth and we cannot run or hide from it. So facing it makes life way easier than actually trying to avoid it. Life is not about wearing blinkers and going about life. We need to know how to embrace whatever comes to us and be open to seeing the truth.
The truth though it’s bitter is medicine for your soul as you are seeing the reality. By sticking to the point of being in denial only helps that become slow poison which starts spreading the poison across your whole body. That leads to so many illnesses and suffering and no matter what until we don’t accept the bitterness of the truth the pain is to be part of us.
So now how can one face and accept the truth
>Be open and respect whatever the issue is without being judgmental about it.
>Keep your boundaries up and don’t talk without being spoken to.
Keep a tab on your self-respect and esteem and also on self-love and confidence.
>Hold your values high and re-evaluate your beliefs if need be.
Do not jump to conclusions and don’t let others trigger you. There can be many waiting to do just that.
>Your thoughts and opinions are yours so keep it to yourself and don’t try to express it beforehand.
>Be frank and open with communication, incase your upset or shocked please do tell this without any second thought. The other person has a right to know how you feel.
>Take an amicable stand and be open to share and discuss things at times even our perceptions can come in the way.
>Work on your courage and inner strength to face the truth and also be mindful of your thoughts.
Does this really have to be worked on?
Well it’s the choice of each one and will what would you wish to work on or how much does this really affect you.
Are you willing to work on yourself?
Are you ready to accept the truth?
Do you wish to let go?
Is forgiveness part of you?
The majority of the time we say we openly say I have to let go and move on. In reality, no, we haven’t we will keep reliving the entire memory. This can really create havoc in our system as we are unable to deal with the issues or facts.
At times, we know and sense the truth but refuse to acknowledge it or even get into it. It could be the
>Fear of outcome
>Fear of rejection
>Fear of the unknown
To name a few pointers what can stop us.
Now moving back to the point do I wish to accept or acknowledge? It’s your choice and decision on whether you wish to work towards it. The fact remains the truth is always bitter.
Truth is a foundation where can shop you build their beliefs on, even though it’s bittersweet.
