When our routine gets back to normal and gradually we start seeing everyone going about a normal routine. It’s nothing but natural for us to do the same. Taking things for granted accepting that things are getting back to normalcy. The one big mistake which was done is to let the guard down and think that the pandemic has come to an end. The awareness that the old normal life will take time to set in is just not being accepted or acknowledged. This is new normalcy which one needs to accept and embrace.
Wearing masks, keeping social distance has become the new normal for a year now. There is no excuses or bargain for this. Nevertheless, people have conveniently forgotten about the past and accepted that the masks and social distancing is not needed anymore. Bringing a fresh wave of cases. Over the past couple of weeks, we have witnessed the spike and it’s growing rapidly like a wildfire. Yes, it’s nothing but natural that we expect the authorities to take action. But aren’t we also equally responsible to act? Why can’t we also be part of the system to have a solution to this?
It’s nothing but natural as there comes along with this the uncertainties and a point of being clueless and not knowing what to expect? Leading to chaos. Along with chaos like a band of thickest of friends come anxiety, fear, stress, anger. What do we do about it?
Nothing as everyone are running about being oblivious to the fact that each one has to take the step and responsibility on them. If each one consciously makes and effort and starts to take the necessary precautions. It would be easy to face tough times and uncertainties. Understandably, we want someone else to always be the one to call the shots and take actions. But unfortunately, now is not the time for blame game it’s time for being mindful and cautious for oneself and everyone. It’s time to being a responsible citizen.
The first thing that one does is go into the space of lack. Being in the space of lack,
- Not being committed to paying your payments on time or refusing to spend with the fear of if money spent and what if you don’t get it back.
- Getting into the space of hoarding and getting fearful of tomorrow.
- Creating panic for everyone around you and being insensitive towards the needy or ones in need.
- Constantly being pessimistic and fearful talking about the same time and again. This does nothing but manifest it into your space even more quickly than anything else.
- Withdrawing from all kind of expenditures as the uncertainties brings the biggest fear in how do we live if we don’t have money.
- Believing everything being put on social media or what’s app and creating panic amongst one and all.
Yes it’s understandable that the situation is not easy for anyone. Nevertheless by just blaming the government and being callous about everything else is not going to take us anywhere. It’s our duty and responsibility to be responsible citizens and be mindful about fellow citizens.
But getting into the space of hoarding leads one to nowhere. This is not the time to be insensitive but to be sensitive and also keep in mind sharing is caring. So the more you someone is out there who will be returning to you.
Going through another year of uncertainties and being locked up at home for ones own safety can become pretty challenging. The mental health also can be at risk and many issues can come from it. Now is the time to take action by doing things that can help you. It’s not about sitting and cringing and complaining.
One simple law we should be mindful about is we can run but not hide. So might as well face the facts of life and see what needs to be done. How and what is one going to do?
- Set a priority list and put things in order. There is no use of going into panic mode. Maybe try to live for tomorrow.
- Look at each day as it comes and play it by ear. This brings us into a space of being mindful and not living in the past or future.
- Accept the situation gracefully and know that you are not alone. Everyone are in it together. Some are stronger while some weak.
- Let go of the fear, be more rational in your thinking. Fear won’t take you anywhere other than giving you the unwanted stress and anxiety.
- Don’t get carried with rumors and what’s being said with facts. Wait patiently for official statements and look at how to move forward and deal with it.
- Stop sitting in denial that nothing can happen or that you won’t be touched. After all, we are living beings and it’s nothing but natural to get hurt or braised when there are strong winds.
- Don’t dodge your payments or anything remember that even money is energy and it has to flow. Don’t hold onto any kind of energies it will bring stagnation. Let energy flow and take the natural course.
- When the thought this too shall pass is held it becomes that easier to start moving ahead and accepting the situation.
- Through every tunnel of darkness there is light be patient and walk the path knowing for sure there is light at the end of the tunnel.
- Join meditation classes, bring an exercise routine. Practice some breathing exercises what is known as pranayama. Keep a positive mindset with positive thoughts and feelings.
No matter how tough your current situation can be, you should know that this is a tough phase and this too shall pass soon. Sitting and talking about the same things and building on fear and anxiety these fears and anxiety brings an energy leak which can become very difficult as it’s easy to bring illness upon oneself.
Life has challenges and these challenges brings lessons to us. Accept the lessons and be grateful for them.
There is always sunshine after a cloudy day so one needs to be patient and wait.
Uncertainties brings fear and anxiety but yet one can transform these uncertainties to being hope and happiness.
